Family Portraits

From traditional studio portraits to creative environmental studies, Hawkeye will work with you to craft an image as unique as you are.
What's more "you"? A formal portrait taken in the studio? A casual outdoor scene using
natural light? Or something in-between, done at your home?
For outdoor portraits, we have a beautiful perennial garden here at the studio, or we can go on-location to a setting of your choice.
For individuals, couples, and families. Available in both color and black & white.
A pre-portrait consultation with Hawkeye is recommended to explore what you would like your portrait to convey. He'll help you plan all the details, including location and clothing.
Portrait ideas to think about...
- Simple clothing works best.
Subdued colors allow attention to focus on the subject. Bold colors can be distracting. - For adults, three-quarter or full length sleeves are most flattering.
- For groups, try to use one basic base color.
- For children, one color is best, with little or no pattern.
Children look more relaxed and natural in casual clothing. Fussy outfits make them fuss. - Accessories should be simple.
They shouldn't dominate or distract. - Bring a supporting prop.
An object that suggests your interests, hobby or profession lets your personality shine through. For children, bring a favorite toy or snack. This is especially helpful in keeping their attention and good humor during outdoor sessions.
